WINTER - SPRING SCHEDULE

Thursdays 4:45-5:45pm
Session 1: 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17
Session 2: 3/3, 3/10, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7
Session 3: 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26

Each session consists of five 1-hour classes. Students learn to build and program LEGO WE-DO robots by creating models of simple machines and animals with easy-to-use intuitive drag-and-drop software. With over 30 LEGO projects of increasing complexity for students to build, program and run, students learn the basics of engineering and programming while having lots of fun. The ability to create their own enhancements to the projects and programs allows students to implement original ideas and express their individual creativity. Upon completion of each level of projects (Beginner, Extended and Advanced) students will earn a certificate and can move on to more challenging and fun projects. Participants may enroll in multiple sessions.

Each session consists of five 45-minute classes. Students, using the small but power-packed Ozobot and Sphero robots, work collaboratively and creatively to program their robots to maneuver through different landscape adventures and games. Beginner and Advanced sessions. Participants may enroll in multiple sessions.

Fee: $120
includes all materials

Wednedays 4:30-6:00pm
Session 1: 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16
Session 2: 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6
Session 3: 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25

Each session consists of five 1.5-hour classes. Students learn what it is like to pilot an airplane by exploring the science of aerodynamics and the physics of flight. Using the cockpit flight instruments, students learn to perform takeoffs and landings, and fly true-to-life 'missions' in a variety of different aircraft.
Beginner and Advanced sessions. Participants may enroll in multiple sessions. New and experienced pilots welcome!

Each session consists of five 1-hour classes. Students are encouraged to think creatively, and work collaboratively while learning computer coding skills. Using SCRATCH software allows students to program their own interactive stories, games, and movie animations. Beginner and Advanced sessions. Participants may enroll in multiple sessions.
